IRIS - ISO 9001

TEXELIS has had IRIS certification since 2008.

Keen to constantly improve the efficiency of its processes and services to customers Texelis began the process of obtaining IRIS (International Railway Industry Standard) certification back in 2007. The internationally recognised IRIS benchmark, based on the ISO 9001 standard, is complemented by specific requirements for the railway industry.

IRIS certification means:

• International recognition of our level of quality as a supplier of manufacturers in the railway sector
• The guarantee that we are a player capable of offering end to end supply chain reliability
• Our company is listed in a database that can be consulted online throughout the world.

ENVIRONMENT

TEXELIS has had ISO 14001 certification since 2003.

For many years, Texelis has made ‘respect for the environment’ a constant commitment. This complements the wider business by building up an environmental culture expressed both inside and outside the company.

Our main initiatives in this area, concern:

• Controlling waste (selective sorting, reduction of waste generation at source)
• Reducing energy consumption (water, gas, electricity and compressed air)
• Incorporation of the environment in manufacturing projects from the product design stage onwards..
